quitting paxil with the withdrawl from paxil quitting paxil, and so ive done. but now i look back and its been 3 months like i said before quitting paxil, where ive been taking that same dose (0.5mg xanax 2 to 3 times a week) and i somehow got scraed because i read on a alot of medical sites about the severe adictive potential ALPRAZOLAM (XANAX) has. so i was wondering if it is posible to develope adiction to it by taking this dose i have been taking for 3 months? am i in danger quitting paxil, should i be worried? thanks in advanced for your time i really apreciatte it. Tapering the dosage down over a period of time seems to be the preferred way to stop - versus quitting Paxil "cold turkey". The withdrawal symptoms during tapering are generally much less intense than cold turkey quitting.
