withdrawal from zoloft
Ication was what he had in storage provided to him courtesy of drug reps. I have a long history of anxiety and depression. It took me a long time to admit it to myself (ironically enough I work as a mental health practitionar) and to get the courage to do something about it. I& 8217;ve been on Paxil (no other psychotropic meds) for a little over seven years now. The only benefits of this horrible pill has been on my ability to focus and attend to involved work. Paxil has made me detached, emotionally flat, and has taken away the desire to be sociable and active. I hate what I& 8217;ve become and feel like I& 8217;ve wasted the past seven years of my life. I& 8217;ve tried to quit this, & 8220;cold turkey& 8221; style or gradual withdrawal, without success and with a lot of agony. When I try to taper off of it, I get dizzy, go through crying spells, have bizzare hallucinations during periods of semi-conscious states when I& 8217;m half asleep, get weird electrical like zaps in my head, feel sick to my stomach and just about all over, etc. I haven& 8217;t been able to quit this damn medication. For the past six and a half years, I& 8217;ve been getting fixes from my primary physician (internist). I have told him that I want to quit Paxil, but, I don& 8217;t think he really has an appreciate of what a horrible effect this has had on me and he probably thinks I& 8217;m just being neurotic. Even if the withdrawal effects weren& 8217;t so horrendeous, I am afraid to quit Paxil because I know I will still have depression. Any input would be very appreciated. > by: Steve http: neur
